This is a chunky, heavy Victorian sterling silver hallmarked albert chain combination, complemented with an antique Edwardian vesta case + 3 sterling late Victorian UK coins.
The chain (each link) is hallmarked but the hallmarks are extremely worn due to age.
The vesta case is hallmarked makers John Rose of Hockley Street, Birmingham 1904. It is in very good condition.
Chain measures 22.5". Vesta case measures 50mm x 35mm. Opens and shuts securely.
There are some light surface scratches and a patina, to be expected on antique silver items which have been carefully used and well cared for. The necklace is not made from brand new pieces of silver, any scratches and signs of wear add to it's character.
Supplied in a pretty fabric drawstring bag. Will be posted signed for delivery.
